Intro to Handspinning on the Drop Spindle

Learn to make your own yarn in this two hour group class. If you have never hand-spun your own yarn, you are in for a treat. It is like magic! I require all students to take a drop spindle class before taking my wheel spinning class.  If you have prior experience with spinning on a drop spindle or wheel, this class will also help to refine your technique.

In this group class, we will use a variety of fibers and learn drafting methods on the drop spindle. I will be by your side to assist in troubleshooting, and will share techniques and tricks to create yarns that you can use for future projects. If you are a knitter, weaver, fiber enthusiast of any kind, it is highly likely you will find a lot of inspiration in this class to take with you in your other fiber-led adventures. 

Spring fiber classes are held in multiple locations on different dates. Please be aware that your selection matches your availability. Classes will be added and updated periodically.
