Intro to Handspinning on the Wheel

Learn to make your own yarn in this two hour private instruction class. If you have never hand-spun your own yarn, you are in for a treat. It is like magic! I require all students to take a drop spindle class prior to learning on the wheel.  If you have prior experience with spinning on a drop spindle or wheel, this class will also help to refine your technique. I will teach you on a Louet s10 spinning wheel, a contemporary spinning wheel that has many abilities. We will use a variety of fibers to learn two kinds of drafting methods, both worsted and woolen. I will be by your side to assist in troubleshooting, and will share techniques and tricks to create yarns that you can use for future projects. If you are a knitter, weaver, fiber enthusiast of any kind, it is highly likely you will find a lot of inspiration in this class to take with you in your other fiber-led adventures.
